It was another amazing year. I just wish that I could keep up. I completed 7 quilts, keeping busy keeps me out of trouble :D of course I'm still working full time. There was travel to Bermuda, Portugal, Nashville, St. Louis, Boston, and other here in the state.
Bermuda is indeed another world, the islands are beautiful. Our home for many years, it is still quaint and classy. We had a wonderful time visiting some of our favourite people and places.
From Bermuda we cruised to the Bahamas. Nice in its own way, we did take another tour of the island, while some of the family walked in town or stayed on the cruise ship. We've been here many times.
We're off. Heading back home. We'll need a vacation to recuperate from the vacation! But I ended up sewing more. Can't get enough of the fabrics and tread, cutting mats, rulers, and rotary cutters….just some tools of the trade, oh besides the sewing machines!
In July we went to Portugal. We arrived in Lisbon, and then had a driver take us out to Fatima where we spent two peaceful days. Then we went back to Lisbon, stayed there and then on another day went out to Penne Palace, Sintra, and back to Lisbon. We had a wonderful time. It was one of the most wonderful adventures we had. We were able to walk all over the city, and the food was magnificent, it was fresh and lots of varieties of sea food…and the desserts….amazing!!!
We also went to the Azores. Always amazing there. Very peaceful. Lots of family time.
