Gainesville Getaway....

We made it up to Gainesville. We took our time and ended up going up 441 this time, more scenic with farms and hills. I was able to test the new camera :D and it works like a dream. The memory card that was sent doesn't fit the camera so used one from the other camera. This camera is heavier and has more options, fun! Anyway, we ended up in the older section of Gainesville where there are many older Victorian homes located in the "Bed and Breakfast District"! Laural Oak was very pretty, a charming yellow Victorian which was surrounded by a fence. There was a wrap-around-porch and had several water fountains. The windows are large with old leaded glass. The inside was updated, it had been used for apartments for sometime before bringing it back to it's old grandeur Morta (the owner) explained. After a tour we settled into our room the Lily! It has older furniture that would have been like that of a home of yesteryear and a gas fireplace. It did have a spa tub, interestingly located right in the room! Be freshen up and were to meet Caitlin downstairs but her car broke down...so we went to get her and Adam. After following the car being towed to BMW and dropping off the key, we headed downtown to eat at Emjelio's....I was expecting and Italian restaurant, but it was more Cuban/South American cuisine. It was very good, and we went next door for Gelato for dessert. We took them back to look at our room before taking them back to their apartments.

The next day...
